Hi there!

My name is Ilze and I’m a lifestyle photographer based in Johannesburg, South Africa. I love breakfast, coffee, plants, dogs, music and the art of storytelling.

I'm a photographer, actress, singer, artist and corporate Maths trainer. All in one? Yes! And so you can trust me when I say I know how important it is to feel comfortable and relaxed in any given situation in order to be your best self.

That is why I love lifestyle photography so much, I get to tell your story in a unique and relatable way. But does that mean I leave you to figure out how to look good in front of a camera? No! Friend, this is my favourite part. I am with you every step of the way! I'll give you tips on how to prep for the shoot and I'll be communicating with you throughout the shoot (#awkwardsilencesmustfall am I right??) - we'll be having loads of fun!

Because I love the magic of natural light so much and the lifestyle genre in photography, I don’t have a studio. So I do my photo shoots either in nature or in the city with a more urban vibe. I also love to shoot at my clients’ homes if they are absolutely filled with natural light (usually high ceilings and many windows are a good indication) or if you have a beautiful garden with lots of trees. I’m very happy to travel to where you are!
